With the completion of the most extensive restoration project in Hearst Castle history, water in the famed Neptune Pool reflects its Greco-Roman flourishes and dramatic sunsets once again. What better way to celebrate the grand reopening of the nearly 90-year-old Julia Morgan-designed pool than to invite guests for a lavish ocean-view cocktail party and a coveted swim.
For guests who have dreamed of diving into the iconic pool once appreciated by the likes of Cary Grant, Joan Crawford, Howard Hughes and even Lady Gaga—this is your chance. Rarely open to the public, the grand reopening soirée on Sunday, October 21 allows VIP ticket-holders to jump into California’s most-exclusive pool party. As the opening ceremony comes to an end, only 50 guests will head to historic changing rooms located off the Neptune terrace to prepare to be one of the first individuals to swim in the iconic pool.
A ticket to this once-in-a-lifetime event helps to continue vital preservation efforts, ensuring Hearst Castle remains a world-class monument and museum that inspires the next generation of architects, engineers, artists, and dreamers.
