Ski and Snowboard Under the Stars in Big Bear
Throughout January (select nights), 3-8:30 p.m.
During Night Sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to ski or snowboard beneath the stars on iconic beginner to intermediate trails. At Snow Summit, gain access to 125 acres of terrain on popular runs such as Upper Miracle Mile and Summit Run. At Snow Valley, cruise on Thunder Mountain, Upper & Lower Wine Rock, Eagle Flats, East Bowl, Big Bowl, Little Bowl, The Chute, and Mambo Alley.
Palm Springs International Film Festival
January 2-13
Launched in 1990, the Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF) is a premier presenter of world cinema located in the beautiful Coachella Valley at the base of Mt. San Jacinto in southern California. The festival brings together a sophisticated and diverse audience, including industry, film aficionados from across the country and filmmakers from around the world.
Flower Market Fair
The Chinese New Year Flower Market Fair is held on the weekend before Chinese New Year Day in San Francisco. The Flower Fair is the place to come to purchase fresh flowers, fruits, candies and brand-new supplies for the home to begin the new lunar year. Delight in performances of traditional Chinese magicians, acrobats, folk dancers and opera as you take in the beautiful fragrances of spring. You will find over 120 booths and concessions making this a shopper’s paradise.
Napa Truffle Festival
January 17-20
Experience the magic of truffles while savoring some of the finest truffle cuisine in the world paired with magnificent wines amidst the splendor of world-class Napa wineries. Learn firsthand how to work and cook with truffles from the best Michelin star/master chefs. Explore a working truffle orchard, see where and how truffles are harvested, and meet the trained truffle dogs who find them (petting allowed).
Seafood & Sips
January 25-February 2
An extravaganza of events dedicated to our favorite crustaceans and more. From the Mendocino Sparkling Wine & Oyster Celebration to the Crab Cake Cook-Off & Wine Tasting Competition under the white tent—indulge in fine seafood, wine, beer, and more at the family-style crab and cioppino feeds, gourmet seafood-themed dinners and wine pairings.
